About Lost Pet Recovery
Lost Pet Recovery is a nonprofit dedicated to bringing lost and stray pets home. Our team of pet recovery experts works relentlessly when an animal is in need, specializing in humane trapping and hard to catch, skittish pet recovery. Strays we cannot return home go to trusted foster families for decompression, behavioral evaluation, and full medical care, including vaccinations and spay/neuter, before becoming available for adoption.
Lost Pet Recovery Inc is a Columbus, Ohio 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We are all volunteer and funded exclusively by donations.
What we do
Humane trapping
When a lost dog is too frightened to approach people, our volunteers set humane traps to bring it in safely.
Skittish dog recovery
Hard-to-catch dogs are our specialty. We work each case until the animal is safe.
Foster and medical care
Strays we cannot return home stay with foster families and receive full medical care before they become available for adoption.
Where we work
We are based in Columbus and help with cases across five states.
